I love wine!

My love for wine started the way it does for many people, by enjoying a good glass and trying more to continue learning what I liked. But everything shifted when a friend and I began hosting intimate dinner parties centered around wine pairings. That’s when I became captivated by why wine tastes the way it does - how the same grape can express itself so differently depending on where it’s grown, who makes it, and what it’s paired with.

Curiosity quickly turned into obsession, and in 2021, I decided to officially dive into wine education. I began with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 certification, and I was instantly hooked.  Pour Pairings® was born from that journey. I wanted a way to make wine education feel fun, relatable, and approachable, not intimidating or overly technical. The Pour Pairings® Boxes started as a way for me (and my friends) to “study” for class by drinking thoughtfully, learning intentionally, and sharing the experience together. Along the way, they became something more: a way to tell the stories behind the bottle and help others feel confident exploring wine on their own terms.

Today, I hold a WSET Level 3 certification and am officially a Certified Sommelier, and still very much enjoying the process because who doesn't like trying new wines?

Wine should feel inviting, not exclusive and that’s exactly the experience I hope to create through Pour Pairings.
